These reasons go beyond simply maintaining the safety of members of staff and company property – although these factors will undoubtedly take precedence for most organisations. So what are the other important factors to consider when investing in business security systems, such as CCTV, intruder alarms and access control facilities? ### Lowering insurance premiums Insurers are likely to charge much higher premiums for businesses that do not have adequate security systems in place. The likelihood of the premises of those businesses being the target of theft or criminal damage is greater, so it’s only natural for commercial insurers to behave in this way. If you have business premises to protect, then it’s important to take the initial steps to demonstrate to insurers that you are a responsible organisation. ### Assisting police When intruders and thieves are operating in your area, your security systems can provide vital support to the police. CCTV is particularly useful in this capacity.
